That is correct. The t'reg bodies and cayenne bodies are built on the same line and painted..then, the vw bodies go to vw, and thecayenne bodies go to leipzig. The production facility does not have the capacity to do paint to sample orders. This, to my understanding, is done as a cost saving measure, but not the point where it affects engineering/quality(?)...They do not want to cut corners on pasm, for example, to save a couple bucks, but if having someone else paint a car titanium metallic saves a few bucks, they are for it, for this product. cayman, boxster, 997 are still available paint to sample, as was the cgt...

Well, I'm sure if you threw some ridiculous amount of money to them, they'd paint it in Germany...

otherwise it'd just have to be a local job.

Many of the Exclusive bits are available for the Cayenne range but not the custom paint nor the custom leather. When I ordered my 2006 CTT I more than casually checked into this option and the answer was politely - not at this time.
And someone mentioned the Dark Green paint - actually it is Dark Olive Metallic - I saw this paint on Cayenne and a 911 and it is an awesome color. The sun makes this paint come alive - truly a great color. This color combined with the cocoa brown leather and maybe the satin olive wood trim provides one with a gorgeous automobile. Good luck with your choice.

My dealer said the facelift is coming in '07, releasing this summer. Does he not know what's up?
