Over the festive season as a joke the guys on the production line used Steinlarger instead - next will be the feed tube from the washer bottle to the driver - not very responsible, I agree, but with a slight modification you can hook the wash function to the rain sensor module - resulting in random squirts of beer as you drive in the rain. This may be an Australian only modification though

No, it simply failed because the Cayenne and me both hate one other. That's OK, there's still a long way to go.

Yes, but I am a dog person. ......I guess I'm just not a 'people' person
Plates for the 968 (and wife's Excursion) are Mass Animal Coalition vanity plates..... http://www.mass.gov/rmv/express/mac.htm
$ goes to that organization. I don't even want to know how much my wife donates to the other animal charities.....she's got a soft spot for dogs.

I KNEW there was a reason I bought my son's kart from Australia (Drew Price Engineering Arrow chassis).....good sense of humor
Finally something the rain sensor can do well.
Just when you thought you've seen it all.......
(no, you can't make stuff like this up)
Thanks for the heads up on this.
I'm not sure I understand how those numbers express a "range" of VIN numbers because the combination of the earlier numbers in the series is slightly different.
I would be most appreciative if someone could enlighten me. Many thanks.
Also, any idea if there has been a TSB for that emissions pump that makes a clicking sound like the rear right blinker is on. Several weeks back a number of us were complaining about, and I did not have luck getting dealer to replace as tech said it was "within the range of accpetable noiseiness"-- at least for no.

Quite simply, they can not say EXACTLY which cars got filled with the incorrect fluid, so they generate a range of VIN's (based on estimates of daily production, when the defect was discovered, shift workers, line consumables, etc). I suppose it's better to affect more vehicles than miss one or two.....

Nothing yet.
Expensive TSB's tend to take a while........has to survive the 'accounting gauntlet'......
"Now explain to me one more time Mr Engineer....what happens if we DON'T tell owners or replace all these expensive parts?"
"Wait a moment, let's get the legal department in on this phone call as well"
Unless the engineer says the word "Fire" or "Death"......it's going to take a while I'm afraid.
