I was carrying 4 wheels and tires in the back hatch which I had secured from rolling backwards. Unfortunately when I stopped suddenly a wheel rolled forward against the seat back,and the rear seat back behind on the passenger side gave way from the force. A black tab, with a red top popped out just behind the grab handle which would release the rear seat manually, and the back of the seat folded forward. I resecured the load, and dropped off the wheels.

However now I cannot get the rear seat back to re-latch. Nothing I do will make that black/red tab go back down and engage the seat? Can I reset this myself or do I need to see the dealer, help?

Mine had a similar problem. The seat would latch but the tab didn't retract. I pushed the tab, now it extends when unlatching, but a manual reset is required when latching to hide the tab.
