Tailgate glass issue.
I have a 2006 Cayenne Turbo. Today i decided to open the glass window part of the tailgate. When I closed it the dash light indicating the rear glass was ajar was on. After ten atemps (slams) I finally got the light to go out. I know this can't be right. The window was firmly closed after every atemp yet the light stayed on. Is this a fairly common problem. I have checked the archives and there was a lot of discussion about the rear latch but nothing about the tailgate window latch.
Thanks,

Chris,
If you're still taking us seriously (think Marx Brothers for a moment), your problem is a simple fix at the dealership.
Didn't want the answer to your problem to get lost in the normal Cayenne induced psychosis.
It's midnight, bed check and lights out time here at my "vacation villa".........

This doesnt sound like an issue with the infamous rear glass switch. This sounds like the microswitch inside the lower latch part is either defective or out of adjustment. Take it do the dealer and I suspect they will replace the lower latch assembly.

Yes, it's the "other" microswitch. I've had one replaced once, in addition to the "normal" microswitch, replaced 3 times.
You can never have enough microswitches on a Cayenne it seems.
