Ditto on the old Porsches- still have my first one, going on 35 years old. Of course, when it came out, some here in the states weren't willing to call it a Porsche! I didn't care, I still beat many a early 911 with my 914 in the local autocrosses....

So true.

For years the 914 was never accepted as a real Porsche. I enjoyed my years of ownership. Th current owner is loving it. Wish I had a warehouse to store all the different models. Then again I only have so much time to drive the ones I have.

I think Dr Porsche considered it real. He had one with an 8 cylinder 908 engine for a while...

Please explain? I do not understand what you are trying to say. Cheap fix like what?

Ski,

That really is a nice 914-6 you have there. The only down side on the 914's was were VW cut corners in the manufacture of the bodys. After dismantling my 74 2.0l down to the last nut and bolt you can see were VW had their influence in bastardizing a very nice Porsche design. That and the crapy brakes they used on the 4 cylinder cars.

Again, just to clarify, my Porsche dealer has exceeded just about every expectation that I could possibly have had.
My issues with the Cayenne lie with PCNA and PAG.

I posted that info based on the hard copy issue that I received a few days ago... but if you go to Autoweek.com, the cover story is right on the main page.

Enjoy!!
