The system is still in development (huh, no kidding) and is expected to be available for sale in the August/September (Q3) timeframe. No price yet, but their other fiber optic system (D2B based) sells for $449, so they expect the price to be somewhere in that range.

So folks, go ahead and hit your snooze button for another 3 months.

 

I would not pay that, not worth it for me.

 

Remember that we're talking about audio here! I guarantee you will hear people talking about the huge difference between an FM modulator and a line level MOST input adapter (assuming they produce one).

And factor in the 'I keep drinking the Porsche Kool Aid Cayenne mentality', it will sell.

ahhhhh, mudman... you're showing your age.. my college boy and sr. in high school would do it in a minute.. they hate the fm method when in my S. Both would pay it in a heartbeat to be going through the bose in Dad's porsche ...

other than when they are staring at a computer screen or a TV with an Xbox connected --- an iPod ear piece is always in their head.. I'm thinking of actually buying iPod headphones and walking around with them to look 20 years younger!? not! But iPod freaks and their love of music will pay big $$$.

Actually Apple is now thinking of making a iPod logo SUV!!
