Default V6 and Climate Control

The V6 Cayenne doesn’t have climate control (it has manual temperature and fan speed settings) does anyone know if the unit is replaced with that of a Cayenne S will the climate control features work?

Thanks in advance

I can't answer your question, but could you send a picture as I have yet to seen such controls. Thanks!

I've wondered about this too.... I assume the dual zone has fans for left and right and I heard the wiring harness is different from my Porsche tech. I would at least like it if Porsche had a single zone climate control as the base for the V6. Afterall, it's only a temperature sensor and a little more software.....

I already purchased the climate control (Ebay - from a wrecked Cayenne) and should have it in a few days. It was cheap enough and I figured it was worth the chance. I will let you know what happens.

Please let me know. I saw that you got it for $50! What a deal! I would have took the chance too. Let me know so I can think about this as well. Even if zone 2 doesn't work, I'd be happy with auto control for zone 1.....

Question

I received the new climate control unit and will hopefully have a chance to install it this weekend.

Does anyone have step by step instructions on how to remove the plastic around the center instrument cluster (AC/Radio/Etc) and how to actually get the climate control out? I hope I can do this with the tools I have.

Any guidance would be appreciated - Thanks
