Anybody know off hand what the Speedart Motor tuning for V6 includes?

What a joke ! are they kidding ? especially on the S updates. This is one of the problems with the German tuners they are bound by German laws which do not apply here, so they invent stuff for fools to spend their money on.

Cat Cross Pipes for 10hp ($1K) cannot be better that Cat Bypass for 17hp ($550) except they cannot bypass cats in Germany.

Cat Cross and Headers for 25hp and 3K Euro's plus fitting !! what a waste of $$

Filters --Well I believe in them but many think Porsches are the best.

Get an S

mudman, with our group buy deal of $500 for bypass and BMC filter being around $200 for set of two that sounds like a bargain..imagine what you would get if you replaced the mufflers....

Alex--thanks though for posting the info. It's the first V6 tuning program I've seen (even if it's not worth it). Marv.

There's also DigiTec in Huntington beach, here is a copy of what they sent me :

Thank you for your interest in our Digi-Tec products. We’ll be great to offer you our modification for the Porsche Cayenne V6.

We tune your vehicle, increasing engine horsepower and torque output by custom digital reprogramming of the ECU. Vehicles with digital electronic fuel injection systems are controlled by computer hardware similar to your home or office PC. This computer calculates data provided by various engine sensors necessary for perfect engine tuning. By changing the factory-installed program an individual fine tuning of the engine management software is possible allowing you the option of leisurely cruising or hard racetrack performance driving at your choosing. These improvements are felt over the entire speed range but are particularly strong in the lower and middle rpm ranges of the engine. Handling, engine-operating noises idle speed, cold and hot weather starting Behaviour is not affected. A return to the stock ECU program is available at anytime free of charge. The indicated increase in hp is obtained in the lower and middle engine rpm ranges.

Tech Data Porsche Cayenne V6 Basic 247 HP
Performance upgrade 28 HP
Max. Torque 340 Nm / 2200-4750 rp/min
Gasoline (optional) 91 ROZ ore up to 98 ROZ
Add Gasoline(62miles) 0 bis + 1,5 Gallone
Max Speed 15 (+) mph with original wheel-tire size
Price $ 999

Best Regards

Digi-Tec USA

Marv, thanks, I know there's al lot of people looking for the V6 performance upgrades. The one from diti-tec looks pretty good.

Kayenne, that's pretty reasonable, and they could bring it back to stock ECU program.

Here's the link for the porsche upgrades,

I know they said there's 2 ways to send the ECU or drive there and bring the car. They said they need at least a day. I'd rather drive there, go on the dyno with original ECU, then test it again afterwards. Are you in Southern Cal? I'm in the bay area. I forgot to asked about the dyno testing but i'll call them back.

Default RADICAL PEPPERS

Just read an article in the February 2005 Auto Bild Test & Tuning Magazine. In this issue, there are two companies called EIBACH and SPORTEC that offer some fairly radical Cayennes - or maybe I should say very radical Cayennes.
Eibach offers a Cayenne 3.2L V6-4 Valve, Twin Cam, Twin-Turbo model that produces 464 HP and 494 Ft.Lb of Torque. The V6 is said to have a top speed of 168 MPH. Sportec offers a Cayenne 4.5L V8-4 Valve, Quad Cam, Twin-Turbo model that produces 592 HP and 601 Ft. Lb. torque. The Twin-Turbo version claims 185 MPH as its top speed. The price you ask:
at the current exchange rate - 89,500 Euros (or $119,333) for the V6 and 169,681 Euros ($226,241) for the V8. True, you can do many things in Europe. True, you will pay the price to do it!
This is a link to the Eibach:

I need to find a good link to the Sportec site or story. JW

I wonder if Porsche will upgrade the hp of the stock v6 for '06, esp now
that VW hp is almost caught up, and given the press articles saying the stock
V6 is underpowered.
