I was told that I got the updated disk when I picked up my Cayenne last weekend. I have no comparison to earlier releases. Whats the date or version number so I can be sure I have the most recent release?

i'm not sure if you recall but my pcm kept screwin up and the Aholes at my dealer tried telling me i had someone else work on it so they wouldnt service it.. anyway, they decided to replace the unit and of course it doesnt fit right.. but besides that.. i noticed one new option on the nav map.. it has an option for "Colorset 2" .. this option wasnt there before..is this an update? there was no mention of any upgrades, then again, this dealer in CT is one of the most imcompetent servicer i have ever dealt with.. maybe thats because i have never had a vehicle with so many problems as the CS.... but i still love her each and every day!

Would these be updates for the CD based unit or the new DVD unit? I've got one of the last CD based (probably) as mine is a May build '04. When I put the CD in for my area a new interstate link that is a 1 1/2 years old isn't on it. I'm driving through a corn field according to the PCM... How much $ do they want for it??? I almost wish my unit would go south so I could make them give me a new DVD unit with Satellite radio. My company car, an A4 ultrasport, has factory Sirius radio and I LOVE it...

No Ski, its a 3 CD update for 05. By the way from what an 05 owner told me the detail is the same, capacity on the dvd is about 1.2GB compressed, not much different to trhe CDs

Orded '04 Cay S 3 CD Update Today
I was told that you can return within 30 days for a refund. It is supposed to arrive Monday/Tuesday. I posted on another forum that an adjacent county is where all the growth is in my metro area. Also travel alot to Atlanta and CD version needs a lot of updates for the metro area as well. I will be happy to check out some areas for some of my fellow Cayenne CD Nav users later in the coming week. The details on the site on where they updated is not very useful. Will post as soon as I can.

you talking to me? No one appears to have ordered it, so I'm going to dive in. My metro area has had a lot of changes in the past 20 months that I've owned the car so it would be nice to have an update. "skl" didn't know the price, thus assumed he didn't know the website either.

okay. this forum seems to be much more active than roadfly. Lots of good info here that isn't on the other... guess I'm missing the "angle" but nonetheless I'll be happy to report at both places how much was added in the upgrade..... I'm hoping NOT to be disappointed but I wasn't impressed with the NavTech website or the knowledge of the call center staff who are not outsourced but work for NavTech.
