Default discreet radar install pictures request

First I'd like to say thx to all who have posted, again.

I know that i have to get a radar but want to hard wire one discreetly. I'd really appreciate it if anyone that had done this would post picture or point me in the right direction. I'm in southern california and would like to avoid going to a shop that's never seen a cayenne before. thx in advance.

actually the wire goes up and is hidden in the headliner then plugged into fuse #4 on the drivers side fuse box, I would need to double check that fuse #.
Very simple install, the V1 comes with everything needed

I have my V1 mounted high next to the mirror just below the tint, with the hardwired remote on the center of the steering column- very stealth. Really like the remote so there are no lights on the main unit to show up through the window of the car behind you. Also hardwired to fuse panel on driver's left.

I was hoping there was a way to mount the sensors/jammer in the front grill, not sure where to but the rear one maybe in the bumber? and have a remote in the ashtray. Does that sound possible? Proablly gonna have this professionaly installed. Any recommendations on an installer in southern cali let me know

That's very possible. Reality is that you need two recievers: one front and one rear. The rear is the big problem. Front is easy to hide in the grille. Rear probably means minor surgery on the bodywork.

I also have mine hard wired and mounted on the front glass just below the tint.

Kevin, you should put the V1 a little bit higher next to the mirror, it gets a much better reception

There was a thread a long time ago where someone had the V1 arrows installed right above the PCM. Looked really nice.

I have the K-40 radar laser detector/jammer. Front and rear sensors mounted in grille and read lic plate. Dash lights totally stock looking could not even tell car has a detector. This is the way to go if you have the $ about $2000 installed at the dealship and yes it is worth it. I live in an area where speed traps are ridiculous and it is very common to get tickets at 5-10 over the speed limit. So even if you are not "speeding" this is very "helpful"

I wanna know how hard is it to run the wire up the rear view mirror mount and past the headliner. Do you just "tuck it in" or have to actually "pull the head liner" out?

Guys, there is nothing to take a picture of!!! Lights totally intergrated into dash. Has warning lights for detection of front or back and volume controlled beeps loud enough to hear over relatively loud music.
Check out a K40 web site for more info, but I bet your dealer will have a booklet. Let me know if any of you guys get one. Well worth the money.

This post has information on the Escort radar detector models. They offer three remote mount detectors, all only offered with professional installation, or I would have several, instead of several 8500 X50 detectors, which are also very good.
