Default TireRack Deal for the Dunlop snows

Based on the research that I have done a lot of people have recommended the Dunlops, so I just placed the order for the snow tires they should be here in a day or so!! I had to get the tire insurance to avoid any problems....if I would have skipped it the insurance then with my luck I would get a nail in one of them
I will let you know how they ride once I get them installed. Here are the details on the deal I got online. I bought an extra set of 18" take-off rims to have these mounted on.

Vehicle: 04 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

4 235/60HR-18 Dunlop Grandtrek WT M2 N0 (Porsche OE) XL - $194.00
4 Tire road hazard program - $23.28

Shipping: $33.50
Tax: $.00
Excise Tax: $.00
State Disposal Fund Fee: $.00
Order Total Including Shipping: $902.62

The 235/60-18s are serving me well on my CT for the second season.

Be ready for x5 drivers <g>. I had one that said the Dunlops looked "anemic" on a vehicle as big as the Cayenne. When I noted that they handled great, he agreed that his x5 buddies with 19" wheels were really hurting in the winter.

Your two best picks are either the scorpions or the dunlops

Thanks for the advice!! I have not seen them yet, I guess we can say to the X5 clan that looks dont matter if your trying to keep this thing on the road going straight !!

I have the Grandteks on 18" aftemarket wheels from TireRack. Ride fine and NO vibration! Hasn't snowed yet, but I have similiar Dunlop M2 and M3's on an A4 and a MCS and they're good in snow and more importantly good on dry roads, which is what you drive on most of the time anyway... (and no, I don't have snows for the GT3 )

Hmmmm, we have the Dunlops on our X5 and so far so good. I can barely tell the difference in the dry between the Duns and the All Season Michelins. No snow yet so can't give a report. I have Scorpions on the way for the LX - looks like the Cayenne will have to wait until after the snow season. I can't seem to get a good deal on an 05 CT....oh well
