Its arrived! Finally!
Picked up the new Cayenne yesterday.
Great experience. When i walked in the showroom it was parked in there and looked fantastic next to the Carreras and Turbos. Completed all the necessary paperwork and then got shown around the car by the salesman. Everything was pretty straightforward (most of the controls are similar to that of my Mercedes) except for the PCM which will take a little time to master!
Driving impressions...
Handling is very impressive for a car of this size, around the bends it was planted with minimum body roll.
Power....OK. Though if I wasnt going to drive this everyday I would have got the S, I think there is significant enough difference in power to warrant choosing the S.
Tiptronic is great, upshift and downshifts are very quick and I especially like the function where you can overide the automatic mode to give you that extra "boost" when needed.
Comfort is fantastic, seats firm and supportive.
PCM- Amazing. Has to be the best i've seen. A whole heap of functions and the TV picture quality is excellent. Wasn't expecting it to have teletext too!
All in all I'm pretty happy with it! Here a few pics taken outside my office.. I'll post some better ones shortly!

That would freak me out driving on the passenger side I drove a sebring conv. in Australia and almost had a few head ons when trying to make turns...LOL
Welcome to the board !! Your ride looks great, I have the same interior as you and love it !
FYI..I noticed your Cayenne lettering is Black not silver...is that a euro thing or an option...looks very sleek.

Were you not tempted to wait til Jan 05 to register the Cayenne. I have one that will be ready next week and I can't decide whether to pick it up or wait.
By the way your car looks great.

Cayenne's come with V6's? I thought they only came in the "S" or "Turbo".
BTW, your steering wheel is on the wrong side! j/k
Nice SUV, They are my dream truck (if I can call them that)!

Ij, I did think about this from a resale point of view BUT knowing the car was there at the dealers and would be for a month if i didnt choose to register it now would have killed me! The wait for it from september was bad enough! In terms of resale value it will have a very small impact by the fact the car is December 04 or January 05....besides I dont really care about that.

Congrats!!!
West London, huh? King's Road Boy?
Should have known ;-)
How's the V6, as it is hardly a light car?... I drive the Turbo and even that (I hate to say it) sometimes feels a bit slow next to my RS6+ and M3...

Good job, youu'll enjoy the car!!
I like the color combo.
Turbo Cayenne against an RS6+ has no chance, against an M3, if your Turbo feels slow, then something is wrong with your car.
The Turbo here in the states actually beats the E46 M3 in the 1/4 mile by like .3 tenths of a second.
I'd get your CT checked out
