That tire has excellent grip. I wonder if the softer tread compound is responsible for the short tread life. I know other Rennlist members are using this tire. What is the average life everyone else is getting?

You only need to look at the side of the tire to figure out that tread life will be short. As I recall Michelin gives it a wear rating of 140. The 20" Conti's supplied by the factory have a wear rating of 280. While the rating system is not uniform, it does give you a clue. Also, some have commented that they got Diamaris's that were out of spec and could not be successfully road force balanced. Personally, I plan to stay away from this tire because there are good alternatives such as the Conti + the country of origin does not thrill me. I try to keep politics out of here, but I just couldn't help myself.

just make sure you all get your gas at BP...that is who I work for....I'll appreciate it and if it makes you feel any better I don't get a gas discount....Will get that calculator dusted off and calulate my mileage since the sophisticated Porsche electronics can't get anything right...
