Help!all-season/winter tires for 19inch wheels
this was talked about I'm sure but I need a bottom loine answer. I have summer tires now and it is getting colder each day and one day I will wake-up and see several inches of snow but unable to take the Pepper out. My options are to get 2nd set 18 inch with snow tires or get snow or all season for the 19inch and get 20-22 inch wheels with performance summer tires...what should I do?

I got these:

They are all season, and have a good snow traction rating.

Hey Jaro,
I got the Yokohama Geolander HTS/G052, it's highly recommended by tirerack but I dont see it offered in 19, It's more of my year round tire, I used it twice in Tahoe and very heavy snow this week, and it was great. Here is a link from my old post. hope this helps.

Remember that Porsche has now approved Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snows in 255/50/19 for winter use.
My solution was to put Pirelli Scorpion Zero Mud and Snows (since I spend most of my time in the Bay Area) in above size on my 19's and pick up a used set of 20's. Will let you know in a few weeks how this works.

Jaro,
Yup tahoe blue is right that is the only tires I was considering on getting, but I got my 18's really cheap so I went with the Yoko's instead. That should be your best bet if you dont want to buy new wheels, that;s the best one's in the 19's category/M+S/All season.

someone in a recent post said tha M&S doesn't stand for mud & snow...what does it stand for then?
is there a official word that the Pirelli's were approved? I wish there was a good pair of All Season's that also did well in snow..hate to spend few hundred bucks on ice and snows jus tto use them for a month or so...but oh well....that is what I get to live in this got forsaken part of the country!!!
