Although I understand the "need for speed" and advocate that that be found in a semi controlled environment, I am said to here that not only are many of us stupid enough to speed and endanger our own lives but as a trauma/vascular surgeon myself, hope nobody in this forum is crazy enough to drive recklessly WITH A CHILD IN THE CAR!!
100% agree. To repeat myself, do yourself a favor and sign up for a DE event. Driving fast on the street may seem like fun, but once you do a DE you'll realize that it's not. While I certainly may take the occasion off ramp "at speed" (more like 6/10th), with DE I rarely feel the need to drive much over 75. Speeding just isn't exciting/fun once you've gone 120+ thru the esses at Watkins Glen. I haven't had a radar detector since 1997 and I have zero tickets (and between the 986S, the C2Turbo and 955S I've had the equipment to go fast).
