Thinking about adding Tequipment Wood Interior. Which one looks best with black interior? Is the tequipment same as factory option?

Doh! Found bunch of discussions on this topic in the archive. I didn't find definite answer on whether tequipment is same as factory option though. I also noticed that only two types of wood trims are offered via tequipment whereas I see three choices from car configuration tool. What about non-OEM kit? Worth considering?

yes/yes/no..... non functional (as in weight reduction) carbon is just plain silly ;-)

I disagree. I have the CF on my 3.6T and it really adds something to the interior. I think the wood on the CT adds a little class to the car. The aluminum look is too bright and flashy. For a fre upgrade to the CT I would opt for wood. I have seen the light wood on black only once and it looks great. I have the dark wood looks good but blends in with the black.

I guess it depends on how it is done...too often I see cheap 'F&F' rice kits (often stick overs as well) that just look silly. Of course they are also the ones with the fake hood pins..... I tend to think if you have carbon, you should be able to back it up with some performance (which I beleive your 3.6 has)

be interested to see how it looks on your 3.6...any pics?

I agree with Cobalt, I think the wood brings a little class. I like the light wood with the dark interior. We have it on our X5 and it really looks nice. I also like the CF in the sport cars - I have it in my S.

I prefer the aluminum look as well. If I'd wanted a wood interior, I'd have gotten a Toureg or Lexus... Other than driving dynamics (which was a big plus) I liked the simpler interior on the Cayenne compared to luxo interior on the t-reg.

I have light wood with black smooth leather interior in my S. Looks awesome and I'd do it again. Everyone who's seen it really likes it as well. Have seen other interiors and still like this one best.

Dark wood package looks great with black interiors...That's what I've got.

Light wood, especially the high gloss Porsche stuff seems like it would be too bright for a black interior; it would make the wood more yellowish. I don't know though, I was one of the few that opted for dark wood and light leather; most go for the light. The darker wood definitley would give more of a reserved luxury sense though I think with dark leather.

Does anyone have pix of the light wood with the black leather? I'd love to see it.

With black ineterior go with the aluminum package--more sporty, and doesn't feel as much like a Lexus.

With gray, consider carbon fiber. I have CF with smooth gray leather and love it.

The Tequipment items are the same as factory packages--got my Cf this way (and for less than factory).
