Default Ways in which we can support our troops!!

As we drive around in our expensive cars this holiday season, let not forget our the less fortunate troops who are looking for things we take for granted!!

Here is a great way to help our troops overseas!! My wife and I are going to do the last option:

I was able to find some websites were you can send care packages to
members of the military. Some of the websites provide wish lists. Many of
the items on their wish lists are things that we take for granted - soap,
deodorant, skin moisturizer, eye drops (if they're in the desert) cookies,
candy, etc. Many of these items are not available in their PX because
demand exceeds the supply.

Below are some websites if you are interested in sending care packages to
our military.

Option 1:
The easiest one to sponsor is with the USO. You can contribute $25 and the
USO will send a care package to one soldier. Your gift is tax deductible.
The link is: http://www.uso.org/pubs/93_325_1391.cfm

Option 2:
On another website you can adopt a soldier. After you click on the icon
"I'd Like to Foster-a-Soldier Now," you will be given the person's name,
branch of the military and his/her home state. This site is also
convenient because you can purchase items right on their website and they
will send the package directly to that soldier. That link is:

Option 3:
The last website requires the most effort. On the home page, you select
from a drop-down menu that you want to sign-up as a supporter. You will
them get an electronic form to complete. If you want you can specify
whether you want to adopt a service man or woman, branch of the military,
etc. After you complete the form, you will receive an e-mail in about a
day or two with the soldier's name, address and wish list. You will have
to go to the store to purchase items, pack them and bring them to the post
office yourself. And you must complete a form at the post office - Customs
Declaration and Dispatch Note (PS Form 2976). Although this requires the
most effort, it may prove to be the most fulfilling, since you can write
letters and send a number of packages over time. The link is:
