*Edit* Hesitation info inside- Details on new service bulletins
Six service bulletins hit the dealer system yesterday. Have the Cayenne in to get an airbag fault corrected. Called for update, and he gave me the info. Supposed to be done tomorrow; will post details on all 6 when I pick her up.

Here's the details
Details on the 6- somewhat incomplete because the printout only showed the recall numbers. I had to query the service writer for the info on each:
Recall W420- Replace Tip Switch. Done
Recall W424- New vents for headlights; supposed to correct condensation issue. Awaiting parts.
Recall W503- Inspect latch and R&R if required. No problem found.
Recall W515- Update Transmission control unit. Done
Recall W516- Update DME programming
Recall W517- Adjust/replace (?) rear wiper arm and unit
Vehicle is an 04 Cayenne S built in June.
Overall impression of DME/transmission work is that the shifting has been signifigantly improved. Downshifts with much less "foot" into the accel pedal, and seem to launch better. More responsive- only time will tell if gas mileage is affected.

Gary,
Thanks for the update/info.
Strange that W406 (towing control unit) didn't make the list, I'm guessing they haven't figured that one out quite yet.
According to renntech.org, I believe we are up to 89 TSB's/recalls to date?
Are we getting close to a Porsche record?

Interesting info. These are recalls so supposedly we don't need to bug our dealers and force them to look up the TSBs anymore, right? TSBs don't get automatically applied unless we complain whereas recalls (WXXX) would.

I spoke to Porsche North America today, and if you give them your VIN# they will give you all the recalls for your vehicle. Luckily my 04 Cayenne S (born Sept 03) only had 5 recalls, taking my Cayenne S in to the dealer next week to have all the recalls looked at.
