Default Additional Delivery Prep?

My '05 TT just arrived and I have asked the dealer to ensure that:
- the alignment is correct
- wheels are balanced

Any additional prep work recommendations beyond what is normal practice?

Thanks,
Charles

Well I don't have a CT-Lucky you(my wife doesn't need the power but I do-lol) but reading posts heard about hesitation with throttle so have it checked out too. Regards. Mike

Default Checks

My TT had an air suspension fault. Make sure they test the full up and full down positions prior to delivery. I've also seen new CT's that won't lock the center or rear diffs. I'd check that the full manual locks on the diffs are working and can be engaged.

You have seen Cayennes with a rear locking differential?

Good idea to have the air suspension checked. I got the Advanced Off Road Pkg which does include a locking rear diff. Will have them check those as well.

I have not seen any owner reports of the Advanced Offroad Package. I am certainly interested in your opinion of this package. Have you used it off-road yet? Have you tried the disengageable sway bars?

I am picking up my vehicle on Monday so I haven't tried the Offroad Pkg features yet.

I am currently in Mexico so I am disappointed to leave but excited to get home to my new toy!

Yes. Mine has it also. I have an '04 Turbo. If you click the 4wd rocker switch forward, mine has three modes (they're cumulative):

1) Low Gear
2) LG+Center Diff Lock
3) LG+CDL+Rear Diff Lock

I had thought that all C's did this. Is that not a feature on all trim levels?

No, the rear locking differential is only available if you order the Advanced Offroad Technology Package. The package includes the rear locker, disengageable sway bars and extra skid plates under the engine and rear differential. It runs around $3,000. The rear locker is not available seperately, unlike VW who will sell you a rear locker for your Touareg for $500.

The option has not been that popular. It's been available for several months now but my dealer was not received a single Cayenne equipped with it. If it had been available when I ordered mine I would certainly have added it.
