My 2005 Cayenne S is here !!
I received a call from my salesman late morning today that my 2005 Cayenne S had just been received at the dealership. Not that I was anxious or anything, but I immediately went to the dealer, and there it is! Part of my deal is that they will hard wire in my V1 radar detector, so I took it and the license plates off my old car. A quick walkaround indicates no body damage or other problems. They were already working on cleanup, etc. and promised delivery tomorrow morning, but in the meantime I have the manuals to study. By the way, the car was ordered in mid-April, and had been at the Distribution Center since early July, awaiting release by Porsche. More later after I have a chance to drive it.

you are going to love that car. everyone has their favorite aspect of the cayenne-my personal one is the seats. you could sit on those seats for hours without getting tired. i have an 03 996tt which has good seats, but nothing like the seats in the cayenne. enjoy it.

I got a call that my Turbo is in... but I am in Mexico until Sunday!
Silver w/ Grey interior and carbon. Other bling-bling bits including 20" sport technos, but most importantly off-road technology package. Getting a set of 18" rims for snow and off-road.

I took delivery of my 2005 "S" late yesterday afternoon. It's titanium metallic (and by the way, no more black paint on the lower panels -- everything is same color), with black interior, aluminum trim, 18" turbo wheels and all-season tires (this is to be my "winter" car). Bi-xenon lights, PCM, Light comfort package, Air Suspension with PASM, Moonroof, and heated front seats & steering wheel. I intentionally didn't get the CD changer, since I prefer the one-slot CD. I would have liked to have had the SAT radio, but couldn't justify the $950 charge. Other available options were deemed not something I would need or use. So far, the only miles are driving around some yesterday afternoon, but it feels and drives great.

Picking up my S tomorrow
My dealer called me on Sat to let me know my S was in and will be ready on Tuesday. However, they currently dont have any cell solution that will work with the new DVD nav as this option had to be preordered when I built the car!
Thanks for everyone's help in picking the options!
