Because I will need a snow tire, I needed two sets of wheels and tires anyway. That made my decision to go bigger a little easier. I'll switch out the sets once temps drop too low. I'll have the 18" turbo looks on the pepper and will gladly clean the wheels when they get too dirty. I almost can't wait until I need new pads so I can test new ones out that might have less dust.

That's the best to have a couple set of wheels ready to go. I only go to the snow once or twice a year but I'd hate to go on 22's. Last year I almost didn't make it out of Lake Tahoe in a Cherokee. I also thought the cayenne would be very cool on 18" wheels with BF Goodrich Mud Terrains. They're great in the snow, I use to have them on my Defender.

On the Exhaust the best I've come up with here is the FabSpeed secondary cat bypass pipes for $550. As I've never had a turbo before, do any of you know if there are special considerations for modifing the pipes?

On another note, my Silver CTT will be here in a couple hours and I can't wait!!

Just got my ride...it's utterly amazing! So fast. 0 to 30 is not mind blowing but 20 or so on up is staggering. Such a wonderful "truck". I don't think I'll miss my 996 very much with regard to my daily driving. I won't be taking this Cayenne to the track so I'll miss that for a while but that's it.

Hi Josh, I had Gemballa 22's on my last CTT with absolutely no problems. With the air suspension you'll hardly notice the difference. Regarding tires, you can go with 285/35-22 which would give you a bit higher sidewall than the typical 295/30's that most use on their 22's. Replacing your cats with Fabspeed's bypass pipes will not require any mods. It's a bolt on application.

PCH, Hi and thanks. I have to admit I'm swinging back and forth on the wheel issue. That's good to know about the slightly taller sidewall potential. I like that a lot!

On the bypass pipes, they're $550. for a set...Seems like a fairly steep price considering what they actually are. I was thinking of going to see a local muffler guy and just asking him to cut the second set of cats out and putting a piece of pipe in place. Let me know if you think that's stupid, but I can't see any problem and it would cost about $100.

Josh....Doesn't sound like a bad idea. If you do go that route make sure you use proper gauge stainless. Your probably looking at a bit more on the cost. Did you get your CTT yesterday?

PCH, OH YAH! Got it in the late afternoon and can't stop driving. So fun. Can't wait to get more sound from the tail but it sure moves for a truck.

On the tubing, I would have him mate the pipes as well as possible. I'll try to check it out later today or tomorrow.

These are great.

You may want to try the muffler shop at 5th and Colorado.

PCH, I didn't notice you were in LA. I'm out in Hollywood now, SM is a bit of a drive. I was going to look out here. Do you ever go see Claudio at 13th and Broadway?? I used to go see him for stuff on my 928 and 996. I was thinking to go see him soon about the Gemballa stuff.

Claudio is a great guy however, for Cayenne aftermarket mods. I would probably go elsewhere. Regarding the wheels, Michael at By Design got a set of Gemballa 22's in for me to check out. Maybe we can meet up there?

PCH, that'd be great. I'll be available any day this week after 2:30 or so. Wednesday would be fine, just let me know. I don't think I'd go to Claudio for the Cayenne either. I'd like to see what they have at By Design.

I was at CEC today, they're the West coast reps for Techart. They have a good looking muffler system. I also got an e-mail from Joe at Fabspeed telling me any tuner who offers mufflers with a promise of HP gain is lying. I'm waiting on a quote from CEC for the few mods I'm interested in. I'll post the results. Anyway, at this point I'm certain I made the right decision with this ride. So much fun.

I have 18" for winter. I ordered HRE wheels 22" 2 weeks ago, it will be here in 2-4 weeks, had it custom made with some "additional stuff" ^^

Hey Josh, Although Techart's parts are well made and fit properly I personally don't care for their designs. For exterior mods I like Gemballa's wheels, front and rear spoilers.

And for exhaust I like Cargraphic's note. The only Fabspeed item I would be intetested in is the cat bypass pipes however, before I caugh up $550.00 for those I'd like to see Dyno tests. Fabspeed's site states more power and torque with their Cayenne TT stainless exhaust system. Apparently Joe feels that only HIS system will offer more power?! I'll e-mail you my cell #.
