I have noticed on Porche.com that a number of the new 05's enroute to U.S. dealerships have a new option I was unaware of before: "9ZF - Telephone Preparation".

I was very bummed to see this option available, since I ordered an 05 CS based on the preliminary order guide which did not include this new option.

Three questions:
1) Does anyone know exactly what this new "telephone preparation" option includes and how much it costs?
2) Since I have already ordered my 05 and it is sitting in the L.A. port, is there anyway for a retrofit?
3) What other new options are actually available that were not on the preliminary order guide? (other than the Panoramic Roof option and Rear Camera option which I already know about)

 

The 7/15/04 post by Toby Pennycuff describes this upgrade. It is compatible with the CDR23, not the PCM2.

 

Trust me...... if you are even remotely considering a hands-free option for your Cayenne, order this option. If done properly from the factory, nothing will show until you are ready to get the cradle installed. And besides, you do not want the factory cradle if it's what is delivered in the kit!
