Hello,
I have a 2008 Cayenne Turbo with PDCC with >180,000 miles. I recently acquired her. When I took ownership, there was an audible leak. I took it to my local independent shop and they found it was the air suspension solenoid which was replaced.
Shortly after that was fixed, I have been receiving the Warning Chassis System error when I start driving anywhere. I have also noticed that the Cayenne is able to raise levels, but struggle to lower levels. When I try to lower levels without driving after starting, that's one of the things that also triggers this Warning Chassis system error. Does anyone have any advice on what to check or troubleshoot before taking it back to the shop?
Thanks in advance! Warning Chassis System error
Either the air level system or the PDCC system can throw that code. First thing I'd check is the fluid level in the PDCC reservoir. You'll need to remove the driver's side beauty cover in the engine bay to see that 2nd reservoir that's behind the one for the power steering that looks identical. Those 2 reservoirs feed a tandem hydraulic pump that can be damaged if one of those reservoirs runs dry and it's a really expensive pump.
