The ordering guide for the 2006 Tit S shows 'electrical closing assistance for tailgate' as standard equipment. I don't have an ordering guide for my 2006 S but I have the closing motor which I believe was also standard because there's no mention on my sticker. The 2006 V6 ordering guide does not mention the closing motor so I conclude it was neither standard nor an available option.

my 2006 CTTS does have that locking mechanism.
