Default Brakes question 09' CTTS

Hi All,
I have changed plenty of brakes in my day, but I am at a loss with the habits of this Cayenne. 90% brakes smooth, 9% with have a subtle shimmey and 1% it shakes wildly(at mid to high speeds)? Any thoughts?

Bad rotors. A little bit of a history on the brakes would help.
Region? Rust would be on the short list if you're in or close to the rust belt.

I had a very similar thing on one of my cars after I changed pads and sanded the rotors myself. Well, I obviously didn't send them very well, as the vibration appeared after the sanding and pad change. Changes with usage, gets worse as the brakes get warm.

Since this is a CTTS, see if you can find a decent shop to resurface the rotors.

interesting I had not considered brakes becomong warm, but in the instance today went to an ethilnic festival. On the way there brales perfectly normal not even a shimmey, then all of a sudden wild shaking of the wheel, then perfectly normal after.

Are your wheel bearings OK?

May not be the Rotors themselves but some brands of Brake pads can deposit material on the Rotors and make if feel like warped brakes. EBC Reds come to mind, some companies even mention EBC by name although I've had pretty good luck with the Yellows.

Yea, I have used EBC on some of my track cars with good results. I am really just puzzled, this started as a lit little shimmey noticed a cpuple times, but then would disappear, but then it would do the wild child fit 1x and then back to totally normal. I plan to do new lines, pads and a flush soon. I may just pull the rotors and have a buddy check them if I cannot find any other issue.
