Emission CEL odd issue

JUST LIKE I THOUGHT
complete waste of time to try and revive it.
i can blow air though it going both ways. even after 20 minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner, what the problem is that the mechanics of it are trashed. Im ordering the bosch part and the correct harness adapter.
If its a leak, then there is no chance of salvaging this part.
it ohmed out at 21.9 so its still "good" but just frozen, i assume its rusted / oxidized from the moisture over 20+ years from the ethanol fuel fumes as they flash off first. I could hear it tick if i put it to my year but not enough.
I will cut it apart out of curiosity later.

Glad you got it fixed. Next time dont ask for advice if you are just going to shart on it. Some of us have been workong on cars for quite a long time and the years of experience come in handy. Others just want to go straight to part swapping via open checkbook. Neither are wrong, just different.
It is obvious what camp you are in. Cool. Next tome predicate advice that way and we will freely recommend how you spend your money.

You might want to run what you say though a spell checker next time if you want to be on some sort of high horse.

Update, the bad idle and running rough is a going bad coil on #2. swapped 1 and 2 and code came back for #1. I ordered a set of 8 NEW Beru ZSE 012 on eBay for $158. might be a bad idea but might also be a great deal. Fingers crossed they say made in Germany! the emissions and filling the fuel tank issue is gone though.
I wont bother to ask advice on coils, might be told to fix them with wd40..... JK

I took the old one apart to see how it works, it is a VERY small tube with a ball bearing in it surrounded by a management coil. THERE IS NO CHANCE at all that any penetrating fluid is going to fix one of these in any way, there is a SCREEN in place to keep junk out of it hence the one direction arrow. i backed the screw out of the bottom of the tube with an Allen key and there was NO real rust or anything inside stopping the ball bearing from moving, it was JUST WORN down and was stuck, thats it. just a mechanical wear issue. i suspect its due to the nature of cheep manufacturing that the tube was NOT perfectly machined as it was just stamped and over time the high spots wear down and cause it to get jammed up due to galling action of the electro plating.
SO TELL ME how wd40 was going to fix that again!!!!!

Dude it was Seafoam I suggested as something to try in case it was sticky. Something to TRY not a known "fix". WD40 to flush out the Seafoam. It may still be possible that a valve like this can get gummy from fuel vapor residue.
At any rate, not sure why you want to tee off on WD40 so badly (you seem triggered?) but I hope it helps you relax. Enjoy your win. Thanks for the follow-up.

forums like this do very poorly when a user gets overwhelmed with bad advice about how to solve a problem from overpriced parts to ghetto repairs, just saying the reason no one likes FB groups is all they get is bad janky advice, its as if i just go to autozone and ask the dingus behind the counter for advice on a sports car he has never owned

this was about an evap problem, not a spark problem. you seem to have threads confused, did you forget your coffee today? ... that's a joke
