Hardwire CTEK maintainer

Hardwire CTEK maintainer
Lots of threads about the maintainers but few about hardwireing it.
I'd prefer to just have a plug above the trim in the engine bay instead of having to take it off, or leave it off when connecting. I see CTEK has a option for this- to connect to the battery terminals, but it is only 17 inches long.
I know some of you all have added connectors in the engine bay for this purpose. Can you share what you used to get it done?

Here is the Amazon connection-

Both @Petza914 and I have that attached in the engine bay.

I use both of these, one just floats around (Cayenne, Touareg and RS4) and the other is panel mount (RS6 in the boot). Both are fine and as long as you use Ctek it's just plug and play.

FWIW, the cord that came with my NOCO Genius is the perfect length to run from the terminal under the hood, to the driver side cowl where the female plug sits. It is stealthy, and easy to access too.
i also hung the maintainer from the ceiling of the garage so the male is right above the female when I park, making it super easy to plug/unplug.
Hang the charging cord so it dangles where you plug it in.
Stealthy
Just reaches from this post to the cowl
Routing by the hinge, zip tied to keep it from getting jammed in the hinge.
