China made aluminium coolant pipe upgrade for 955 V8
Hi, anyone using the China made aluminium coolant pipe? Is it worth a try for this upgrade or they are just unreliable crap?

Anything other than OEM Porsche will most likely be made in China.
Being a chunk of aluminum and some O-rings, it's hard to screw up. I do vaguely recall one manufacturer having a bad batch that had a pinhole leak in the casting, but it was a small number and ages ago.
I went aftermarket because I wasn't about to pay Porsche's ridiculous price for their kit...which was a fix for their **** poor plastic engineering to begin with. That was preventative maintenance done about 9 years ago and I've had no issues with it. If you still have the plastic tubes, you need to get rid of them. If one bursts, you'll also be replacing the starter. Then a few months later the torque converter seal will need to be replaced (it doesn't like coolant), which is usually an engine out job.
