Purchase advice

Regarding the sport aero package, it was also available on S, same with PSE.
Of course the downside is fuel economy, my MPG in city is around 11mpg.
I don’t get why people here say an S doesn’t give fun but a 20hp stronger GTS already does?

Also, from what I saw, it will probably be hard to find a well-optioned S and in good shape at the same time for you.
I was browsing the S market for quite some time and I haven’t found an S that would be at least as well-optioned as mine.
If you really want to have a richer configuration you’d find it easier in a Turbo.

Why wouldn’t an S also make the big SUV super fun? Plus it’s also NA.

I see most of the replies are for a turbo or at least a GTS.
I looked for a long time for a 957 before purchasing and drove quite a few turbos, a few GTS, and S models. I settled on a very pristine 2008 S. For me the S has enough power to make it fun. I wanted a 957 that had a few options I like, heated seats and wheel, soft look leather seats, tow package, no Bose since I wanted aftermarket. I wanted fewer items that could fail and be more costly like the panoramic sunroof, adjustable suspension, stc. Just trying to keep what is already an expensive vehicle to maintain a little less so. Another reason was that nearly every turbo and GTS appeared to be driven really hard, without the maintainence, at least in the last few years, to compensate for it. The ne I bought had to be owned by single drivers without kids or pets, the interior looks like new with 100k miles. That may not matter in the end but it has to be better than someone ******* it out all the time.
You would be well off to highly consider what you want from the Cayenne before settling on the trim level.
