Air Suspension venting frequently

Air Suspension venting frequently
My air suspension seems to vent frequently. It seems more than it used to, but maybe I’m just noticing it?
It did it three times since I pulled off the road into this drive through… it does it while stopped at an intersection some times, or just driving down a flat straight road.
Is that a sign of something I should be replacing proactively? Maybe the pressure control valve isn’t holding pressure properly?
It does not seem to be obviously necessary when it does it. I’m not lowering the suspension or stopped sideways on a hill or anything. It frequently vents after shut off sitting in my garage. Psssshhhhh!
I’ve heard how we want to protect the air pump. Of course, knowing this car, Tony is going to say my pump is going bad, then it will, and I’ll be fixing that issue next…. (I’ve had a few more than my share on this car…)
thanks for any tips!

My Touareg constantly adjusts and vents in an effort to stay level in every situation.
My GTS seems to only adjust a little bit in the morning, then I never notice it moving for the rest of the day.
The air systems on both are in perfect shape. All I’ve ever been able to come up with, is that there’s a wide variation in control module programming between models. The sports oriented models don’t move around that much. The ones that lean more towards off-roading do.

Our driveway is a 1/2 mile long washboard surface. The GTS will usually psssshhhhh, about a min. after parking in the garage.
Sometimes it will do this after exiting the driveway onto the main road.
Since it did psssshhhhh for the past 7 years I assume it's normal, a function of automatic leveling.
BTW I never mess with the leveling control...maybe a few times in 7 years to confirm it's working.

Yeah I’m using the special terrrain level every time I pull into a parking lot or my garage because despite my best plans and staying smaller than others, I still get a bit of rub. Less so as the tires wear and the plastic gives way…

You might know this already, but the higher level suspension modes require higher airbag pressures. So if you notice more frequent filling in the higher levels vs lower levels during use, there is a decent chance you have a leak requiring the system to fill more frequently to maintain the desired system and/or strut pressure. The leak could be anywhere so you'd have to work through the diagnostic process to figure that out.
