Default Cayenne in the Bay Area

Thinking about picking up a Cayenne S. What kind of deals can be had here in the Bay Area or anywhere for that matter? MSRP? Below?

You can get below MSRP on Cayenne's, on the lot or ordered. In the Peninsula, the best dealer I've worked with is Stevens Creek. PM me.

Agree best deal at Stevens Creek. $5-6K off MSRP.

Ask for Victor. Sales manager James also great to deal with.

There are several posts in this regard - but just for you.....I also live in East Bay. Kevin's guy in Fresno said $1500 over invoice for an " ordered" '05, but I went with Walnut creek Porsche for a little more but hope to get better service!! Talk to Mike Soria -should get $6k off MSRP. Good luck.

Check with Michaels in Fresno, they quote over invoice not below MSRP. Talk to a sales manager, but check their inventory on the web to see if they have something you like. I got a great deal and I service at Carlsen.

Watch out for those guys at Stead Porsche - Walnut Creek. Some of them are unfriendly snobs (i.e. jerks). During my first visit, they would NOT let me test drive; I was only allowed to sit in the back row while the salesman drove the Cayenne. On my second visit, the Stead salespeople were still rude. Consequently, I purchased from Porsche of Oakland (formerly Negherbon Porsche). My price paid was $1,900 over invoice, or 3% over invoice. This was equivalent to $7,600 below MSRP. Good luck. If you have further questions, just post them.

ItzKirb:

One more thing: The folks at Porsche of Oakland showed me their invoice paperwork on my vehicle. Wherever you go, you should ask to see the invoice paperwork. If the salespeople refuse to disclose the invoice, just walk over to the next dealer... Again, good luck.

I'm in L.A. and bought mine 7 months ago for $6k off MSRP. I have a long relationship with the dealer and asked them a week ago where they were at, and it sounds like $5-6k off is pretty standard right now, and probably you can do better. Best bet is to search all available inventory in your region on the Porsche website, find what you want, and negotiate hard to buy something in stock.

My dealer told me also that the Cayenne S without Nav and Air are being discounted as everyone as of late wants the S with Nav and/or Air...

Talking to the people here, the steel springs on the standard Cayenne S sound pretty good and you could always get a Garmin if you needed NAV that bad... If you can live without these two options, then it sounds like some great deals are out there waiting for you!

BUT, I am glad mine is coming with both options...

I agree with "jarama beige" that 1900 over invoice is a very good deal, but when I was shopping, the Oakland dealer was not willing to match! and Mike at Walnut creek was very nice to deal with - I guess it all depends on their mood and how bad they want to make a deal on a given day!
