Default Cayenne 957 Headlight removal, repair, replace - now Fault?

I have an 09 Cayenne Turbo S. The lens were a bit foggy and scratched so I decided to remove the lights from the truck and sand and buff. They look great! BUT, upon re-installing them I now get a headlight fault on the dash. The lights are connected, they are tightened back into place and both sides work 100% from what I can tell.
Why would I be getting a fault on the dash?

Never-mind. human error. The clip wasnt tight enough, so although the headlights all worked it was not registering them. Problem solved with some force!

Put clear PPF on them while they're clear and new looking. Sanding removed the UV protection and the coatings in the kits don't hold up very long.

FYI: When you put them back in, make sure you lock them in place - otherwise you might have the surprise of a headlight flying over the roof of your car during a spirited drive around some corners (don't ask how I know).
