Unhappy Break In Experiences

So, had my front-passenger window broken in this week. Terrible; don't recommend. Have any of you had your Cayennes broken into and what was the experience like getting it resolved.

I had my window "fixed" by an independent glass repair shop. That was a massive mistake. Three guys were yanking my door up and down to somehow try and get the window in. Not to mention the little bits of metal and plastic from inside the door left on the road and glass still left in my car. Horrible experience that I'm still trying to resolve. My door is clearly out of place and no longer shuts correctly without forcing it.

Correctly replacing the windows is a bit a pain in the *** as you have to disassemble the whole door. I think you can get to the bolts that hold the glass (little blue squares) without removing the whole window unit, but it might be worth it to just do the window regulator if you're going that far with it. Also, if the glass guys didn't know what they doing and now your window doesn't work, you might need a new regulator anyway.

happened to me and I claimed it and took it to sunset, the glass cut the door card and passenger seat, it also scratched the paint. Sunset was a f’ing nightmare to deal with and the body shop was only slightly better. Ended up being over $10k total and I was without my pig for nearly 3 months. In the end it was a win win but man was it painful. Just claim it.
