"Wonky" driver seat memory on 955
I have a "Wonky" driver seat memory on my 2005 955 CS. Ever since I bought my Cayenne S several years ago, I have not been able to set the driver seat control memory. (BTW, I Believe I'm following the correct owners manual directions for this procedure.) So every time I turn off the car and open the driver door, the driver seat moves to the max forward position. So of course, this becomes a real hassle always fiddling with the "fore and aft " seat button getting out and back into the car. My work around all this time has been to just reach down and touch the "fore and aft" seat button as I SIMULTANEOUSLY open the driver door to stop the forward movement of the seat. I am now getting pretty good with this timing technique and it's almost second nature to me now. BTW, all the driver seat controls function as they should other than setting (and holding) the seat "memory". Anyone have this problem and have a solution? Am I programing the seat memory incorrectly? Could my driver seat memory module be screwed? Would love to fix this seat memory gremlin....Any help/suggestions world be greatly appreciated!

There's a way to store a memory position to the specific key remote bring used. This is an additional step after storing the seat positions to the memory buttons in the car. Sounds like someone linked that key to a previously stored memory position. It will remember seat position, HVAC settings, radio stations etc
Does the same thing happen if you use your other remote?

Thanks for the reply Petza, you have always offered good input. My remote functions (2 sets of keys) don't really seem to function. I remember trying them briefly when I got the car, and just gave up on using it's functions, not a big deal to me as a user. "Manual" operation of the key is fine. But I would like to try and resolve the key problems though, if it is relatively easy and inexpensive. The CS is one of 5 cars and it is not one of my primary drivers (but it is a really nice driver!) Any suggestions on making the key functions "work" and would doing so impact (or help) the "memory" function/button on the seats?
