Got a trailer, I have lighting issues...
I had a porsche hitch installed on my C T and I picked up my trailer today.
My brother in law walked around the trailer to check the lights since i was getting a trailer light out warning on my instrument cluster.
Tomy dismay, the lighting is not working properly.
No brake lights, no left turn signal. I do have front orange markers, and right rear parking light and turn signal.
Could the Cayenne be wired wrong?
Does the 7 pin connector only go in one way?

Yes, the 7-pin connector only goes in one way.
Frequently the problem is with the ground. That problem is often coumpounded by rust.
Each lamp MUST have a solid ground. The trailer MUST have a solid ground connection from the 7-pin cable.
To get solid ground, the metal must be clean and rust-free at the connection. The wire must not be green with oxidation.
The best bet for green wire is to replace it with marine-grade pre-tinned wire, available from any marine store.
It is possible to test both the vehicle, with a voltmeter and the trailer, with a +12VDC power supply or battery. This has the pinout: http://www.pollakaftermarket.com/images/1094-WC.jpg
