I wouldn't bitch about the gas costs- I think we've got it pretty good here in the States. But the air......that's pretty bad.

Heck I'm surprised that California hasn't devised some "air tax" with a special surcharge for "organic" air.

Some stations will waive the 50cents charge if you bought gas.

Actually it is ILLEGAL for gas stations to charge for air in CA if you pay for gas. Yet another law that is not enforced.

See the following link: http://www.metnews.com/articles/mass092702.htm

Complain and get your $. back....

I drive mostly in city, when I do city driving, I finish 20gallons (just after the thing beeps) in just 160miles. If I do highway driving, I can reach 180miles. Which means city:8mpg and highway:9mpg...

I drive like normal Porsche owners do (you know what I mean hehehe)

CA would probably want a broader tax. This idea could evolve in to charging a tax on farts.

I was paying $37-39 (fill up tank after alert); now $50.00. Now $2.50 - due to go higher, says TV.

I average 12.5 to 13.5mpg; city driving - avg trip 10 miles or less. Lots of stop/park & restart. I do about 1300 - 1400 mi per month. I'm usually out of warranty by year 3.

So far, the truck hasn't had any problems after the first month (battery, DME remap); runs great.
