I've searched on the topic but haven't seen this specific issue, as it relates to both the driver's mirror function AND it's folding function.

Basically the passenger mirror will work and fold no issue. The driver's side folding function does not work, and neither will the mirror itself.

I've swapped motors and it didn't change anything. Checked fuses and they seem to be okay.

The wiring in the A-pillar seemed to be fine when I pulled it today, and no issues with the door wiring.

What else could it be? Thanks for your help!

 

Roll down window, extend left arm and hand (assuming you have one) grasp mirror body firmly, pull gently towards car. Reverse steps when ready to use mirror again 😂

 

Yeah that didn't work. I keep using my right hand to move the mirror and it gets stuck between my left arm and the steering wheel.

I did this while texting, now I'm crashed into a 100ft oak tree.

The mirror works now. Thanks for the advice.

Well it appears as if this is a nothingburger to potential buyers. Time for a newer ride.
