Default P0717 MT speed sensor

Manual transmission speed sensor…any of my fellow three pedal peeps ever see this code?

Anyone know where the hell it is?

A part number would help.

A competent, and trustworthy local Porsche mechanic that doesn’t have appointments 6-7 weeks out, would be a handy thing here also. I got three of these 957 GTS 6MT’s on the property at the moment…everyone has issues that my Indy can’t diagnose, or fix.

Good times.

Thinking I’m almost ready for a Passat W8 6MT…what could be worse?

Our instrument techs would swap parts until one was working 100%.

The next day they would call in sick and remain sick until someone else fixed the other two.

Sorry it doesn't apply here, just saying.

BTDT…locating the part’s prior to swapping them, is the key. Unique issue’s with each, absolutely crazy.

While I do honestly enjoy being in, under, and round these…there isn’t a lot of direction from the inter web for a solution. Oh well, tomorrow’s another day.
