I’ll be keen to see exactly how much trimming is required, and what offset you end up with.
having done a rally day where there was so much mud the intercooler vents clogged… I am adamant that I have fully functioning fender liners (wheel wells).
but with 18x8 et20, I don’t think I’ll even fit 265/65r18 without trimming/rubbing.
Went to the Austin GP and decided to shoot a little recap of it while I edit the third episode together. Enjoy it in the meantime and share with your friends!
Parts are officially here and boy do they look GOOODDDDD. Feel free to check out episode 3 and see the shenanigans that I get into while unboxing the parts for the build!
UPDATE THE LIFT IS COMPLETED AND VIDEO IS COMING SHORTLY!
I cannot wait to show you guys the way this thing looks, it officially underwent its mud baptism and I cannot emphasize enough how surprised I am at how capable this platform is.

Sweet!
Let us know how much your rig is squeaking over bumps, or if you found a solution to the poly squeak. <thumbup>
Been traveling like crazy and have the video 85% done, yes it squeaks, yes we're looking for a resolution. In the meantime...enjoy iPhone pics of its maiden voyage.
Finished the lift at 7pm, went home for dinner and hit trails from 10pm to midnight. Not a single thing broke and believe me, I tried breaking things.
Looks good. Let us know about the creaks/squeaks over bumps. Have heard Cerulean grease is supposed to help quiet them down, but haven't heard from anyone yet if it completely solves the noise.

What Parts? All I see is a RUF 930 LOL. I just installed the same set up as you have there or close. 2.5" lift, bushings, skidplate etc... Pics to come.
Cheers, Mike
The red car is what was known as the RUF RSR in the US.
From what I've heard, it was a Road and Track featured top speed shootout contender at one point and published in the 1984 edition of "World's Fastest Cars" when it was essentially a RUF BTR 3.4 built by RUF when they had a US representative back in the 80s. Only RUF components left in it are the 6 speed close ratio gearbox since the 3.5 build they had failed in testing and it sat for almost a decade before being mechanically revived with a Perfect Power built 3.8 twin turbo pushing 700 horses.
It's hands down the fastest air cooled car I have ever driven and the closest thing I have experienced to the 996 GT2 Clubsport I was lucky enough to curate.
Here is the actual car in the day time! I've been using it as my photoshoot rig since I built it and have been putting miles on it to properly break it in and dial it in more if I need to. It's handled deep mud, woods, and sand now and I can say it has tackled all terrains with no struggles whatsoever; I'm blown away with it.
