Anyone who relies on the digital reading on the speedo gauge must have been doing spreadsheets for dotcom companies.
It just "ain't" accurate. If the car could get 500 mi per tank, PAG would put a smaller tank on the truck.

Honestly mine is pretty bad! I get about 250 miles... that being 3/4 highway miles and 1/4 city... on 20 gallons. Come to an average about what, 11.4 miles to the gallon, and yes thats being a ***** on the gas. The irony is, if im hard on the gas the mileage doesnt really change too much. Weird-

I've now done 11 fillups, and the mileage is pretty consistent: ~17 on the highway, ~12 in the city and 10-12 while towing (~3500lbs). I average 13.2. The farthest I have gone is 370 miles on a tank (16.5 avg), but I think if I did all highway miles, I could just eek out 400.
Oh, and the computer "miles 'til empty" thing is horridly inaccurate. In fact, so is the "Avg Mpg". Mine shows ~15, but when you plug the data from the gas receipts into Excel...13.

Man, I'm this close to getting a Cayenne S, but now with the high gas prices and low MPG I'm starting to think otherwise. Maybe I should wait for the Lexus RX400h (Hybrid) 36MPG in an SUV.

That's like comparing "Apples" to "Pears".... Do the math and you will see it's not that much more a year if you then add the "fun factor" of the Cayenne S!!!

I do about 70% highway/30% city. Highway cruising speed is ~60-80mph. I usually get around 15.5 - 16 MPG. 16 requires a conscience effort not to be too aggressive on the highway as well as in the city. Too bad gas is so expensive these days. I'd rather be more aggressive in my 996 and S2000 and get 18 and 22 MPG, respectively.
