In northern Virginia, Route 66 east of the Beltway (495) is HOV for ALL lanes, depending on time of day, and day of week. However, this portion of 66 does not appear at all on the PCM Nav (v3.0) either displayable on Map mode or used in planning any routes.
If you live in this area, you know that 66 is a major thoroughfare, and the fact that it is MISSING from the map means calculated routes are not the most direct.
Though I generally avoid 66 anyway, I think the road should be on the map. Even Microsoft Streets & Trips will use 66 in calculating a route but identifies it as potentially "restricted access".
Does the PCM system deliberately not display any highway that is HOV for all lanes?

Good thing it is not HOV for all lanes or I would never get out to Centerville from Rockville.
I too would be disapointed as I use 66 for my concerts at Nissan as well as for heading down to Knoxville, TN via route 81s.
It does display on my Garmin color GPS and my Acura as well...
Anyone have any ideals?

It is possible to provide NavTech with this type of information, so that their next update will have current information.

Here in SoCal, we have a tollroad, CA 73, that does not seem to be a option (sometimes) for quickest route to destination.
Maybe NavTech does not allow tollroads to be the first option?

You may wish to check your "route options"in the Nav setup. The default on mine had 66 inside the beltway "checked off", but 66 did "show up" when I drove it.
I thought this was odd until I saw the sample map on page 62 of the PCM manual - and the "screen shot" they use clearly shows I 66 inside the Beltway, so I played w/the Nav setup, and lo & behold, I 66 now appears. I don't know my version off the top of my head, though....will have to go check.

Which setting did you "play" with in order to get it to display?
On your system, does PCM use 66 (inside the Beltway) for calculating a route?
I am using v3.0 of the software.

66 inside the 495 Beltway is HOV for ALL lanes (depending on time of day and day of week of course). It is this portion of the highway that does not appear on my map.

It's been some time, but if memory serves, each of the choices under "Nav Setup" were checked. I "unchecked" each of the boxes, rebooted (turned off & on), and that "solved" the issue.
(Nav, then Route options. Also check "Nav", then "diversion"). If that doesn't help, then scream @ your dealer or Navteq for an "old" disc. Both of my PCM II equipped Pcars are version 2.*, I'm sure. I'll check tonight.
Good luck,
J
