Default Wanting to confirm this 04’ Turbo isn’t scored

No reason to think this car may be bore scored but since I’m driving 9 hours round trip tomorrow I want to get a second opinion from those who are more knowledgeable.

It's quiet for a 2004 engine.

Enjoy the trip.

It’s louder in real life. Is it still okay?

Is this car a definite no? If not what should I be paying?

Sounds like two DIFFERENT engines.

As far as whether it's a go or no go, I'll let one of the experts chime in.

RE: Codes -- the secondary air pumps are not necessary for engine function (emissions only part), and the evap leak is not unexpected (lots of brittle plastic to break and also the PCV diaphragm often goes bad). The camshaft sensor code could be as easy as buying a new sensor $70 and swapping it in 5 minutes for the best case, or worst case they could have broken the tabs on the camshaft when doing a valve cover job which would require replacement of the camshaft.

I am not mechanically knowledgeable enough to purchase it. I went ahead and passed on it. I’m sure it’ll be a great car for someone but it’s more than I could take the risk on.

Your take is definitely appreciated… I will say the car didn’t work out but it is outstanding to drive and look at it! I’ll be finding another.
