Default PO420 CODE

Im having a P0420 code on my 10 Cayenne S... Seems to be running great no issues.. My mechanic says new cat.. Does anyone have experience using a o2 simulator to solve the code? I need to smog it asap

You can try installing an O2 spacers to move the O2 sensor out of the stream a little bit to make it a bit less sensitive to a weakened cat, but if the inspection station sees the mod, they'll fail you anyway. If you're in CA they're supposed to do a pretty careful exhaust inspection looking for aftermarket parts which may make it more likely to be seen.

Thanks I work for a shop so I think I can get it to pass but I'll have to install one of those... I see so many options out there, some with mini cats in them and some not, any idea which ones are best? Im going to have to do a 90 degree one to fit in the Cayenne..

thanks!!
