Default Replacement Connectors for Coil Plugs on Wiring Harness??

2004 Cayenne Turbo

I have a misfire and when I removed the electrical plug from the coil I noticed that it wasn't seated all the way. Upon further inspection part of the electrical connector plastic stayed inside the coil. Additionally, many of my coil connector plugs have the locking tabs broken off.

Can these connectors be replaced? Any part #'s, price, recommendations?

These are crazy expensive for what they are but

They look like standard VW/Audi plug connectors, so you might be able to go junkyard shopping.

See my post #29 on how to replace these. I Did the airstrut/shock connector, but this would new the same.
ECS tuning has these for the coils as well.
indeed expensive for what they are, but so much cleaner than splicing wires, etc.

Hi @phatz, how do you release the black plastic cap part first, before going in with the depinning tool? I'm mangling mine trying to figure it out. I thought I could slot the tool right in and pull out the wires ... doesn't appear to be the case and the additional locking mechanism needs to be removed first?

Figured it out. Main release is here. Took sacrificing/destroying one spare dongle to understand there are three locking tabs. The other two are on either side of the lock; must push from the inside out and work those three points sequentially to wiggle it off. Rest is a breeze!

Other two

Are the red arrows the additional spots where you picked from?

@phatz, the cavities where the two circles are; arrows indicate direction to gingerly push the tabs - from the inside out.
