Default Rear module / powered tailgate

Hello guys,

New owner here, and been trying to figure out an issue.
My powered tailgate will not work, I've trawled through the posts and been unable to find further info.
Its looking like the rear module may be faulty, or need programming.
Has anyone been able to re-program the module before, if so, what diagnostic tool worked?
I've been looking at the Vident I-730. It sounds like it is quite capable, but have been unable to find any reviews.
I've heard of the Foxwell, but I'd really like to get a unit which works on multi brands and is packed with features, rather than one which can only do some things.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
Simon

Simon - Foxwell sells software for up to 5 manufacturers on the NT530 - cost is about $60/each. Does the Vident include multiple manufacturers right from the get go?

Hi Don,

Yes, it appears to. I think I'll give this one a miss though. I have some alarm bells ringing about it. Mainly that I can't find any reviews or mention of it across the internet. It seems like it is only advertised by one company who have a few different websites / names. I'll stick with a more known name.
I've been trying to get information on the different models of Foxwell, but have yet not received an answer. I quite frequently change vehicles, so I'd really like one which can cover multiple brands; I don't mind paying, but I also want one which can do everything which might be required. There are a couple of Foxwell's which seem good, but again, just waiting for a response from them.

Cheers for the reply, and sorry it took a while to get back to you. I've had quite a busy month so far.

I still haven't found the tailgate issue, but my new gas struts are here. Hopefully, if I get time this weekend I'll get them fitted and I'll have a look at the tilt sensor too.
I'm not convinced yet that the module needs to be sync'd as all other features work; the latch, glass latch, lights. It really is just the powered lift and close.
