Default Problems fueling my Cayenne

I noticed that whenever I fill up the Cayenne, the gas pump stops every 2 or 3 seconds as if the car is full, while the tank is still empty!

So the only way was to fill it really slow with a minimal touch on the pump, but as soon as I press harder to fill faster the pump stops!!

Any experiences like that?

It always happens to me at this one gas station near my place. I think there is something wrong with their pump though.

I was surprised, the first time I filled, that the gas-inlet pipe was so horizontal, but mine fills at full speed at every pump I've used in 8 months.

Maybe your dealer can find something wrong with yours.

happens on my older mustang all the time. Try pulling the pump insert out a bit until it starts going thats kinda the magic place. Its like there is air in the line or something and causing it to do that.

Definitely happens all the time in two out of the six or so stations that I regularly frequent.

Same stations, same problems with my other cars.

Cayenne may or may not have a more horizontal inlet than your previous car, but bottom line is that this happens in many cars in some stations.

Not a Porsche issue.

I have experienced this problem and found the best solution is to invert the fuel nozzle. There seems to be a mismatch between the angle of fuel delivery and the fuel filler pipe when trying to fill conventionally.

When I filled gas yesterday. I inserted the nozzle with a different angle, and it worked!!!
