Default Good daily driver??

Hi guys and gals,

Im seriously considering buying the CayenneS for my daily driver. I have a BMW 545i ordered, but Im beginning to have second thoughts, particularly with some features that were promised, that wont be rolling out for a while. Anyway, are there any "must have" options? Air suspension, etc?
Thanks...

I have an S without the air suspension and I love it. It is my daily driver on these Mississippi roads(north) and it does get a little choppy at times but still good. The air suspension would probably be a good idea even though it doesn't handle as well or as sharply as the steel suspension. I almost feel embarrassed talking about handling on a 5000 pound SUV but it is amazing. I just drove the updated X5 and there is no comparison. My 996TT and, of course, the GT3 don't ride as well as my Cayenne.

Default daily driver

same here, got it as a daily driver, can't think of a better car for the job.
Love the air suspension, love the bi-xenon both must have in my opinion. I also went for the sports seats and find these far better than standard esp on longer trips.

I use my S as a daily driver also. It is a wonderful machine. My only "wish" is the air suspension. So far, a terrific vehicle.

I also use my C as a daily driver and love it. The sound system is tops. 3500 miles and running stong. Gas milage is around 16 MPG mix driving.

I still have two weeks before they start to build mine, but rest assured, my S will be getting "Air Suspension"! ;-)

The pepper mobile just keeps amazing me for its handling given its SUV size and weight and yes it's a definite daily driver-all purpose all kinda weather kinda car with a sporty attribute to boot. My wife never liked SUV's(she had an ml 320-drove for 2 weeks and gave it back to me to drive) but after getting a loaner Cayenne(wo air supension) she totally loved it. So got one with air suspension and can't pull her hands off the steering wheel. 5k miles on it now. Other then air suspension bixenons/electric comfort package or must have options. Regards. Mike

TestnDoc,

I use my TT as a daily driver and absolutely love it. It is quiet, very fast and fun, and I still have not found its handling limits.

I did have a few minor glitches that the dealer repaired, but as repaired, it is all I expected and then some. If you purchase and S, I would recommend the air suspension as it is more comfortable, and adds different dimensions to the car: from comfort to sport, from high to low ride height.

My wife has been driving her S daily for 6 months and loves it. I look forward to weekends and driving it myself (though of course I prefer my Targa). Its a phenomenal package - fast, great cruising and cornering, sporty - unmatched by any "SUV" I have owned or driven.

Yup. The TT is my daily driver. It's amazing. I have no regrets trading in my 2000 BMW M5.

I use my S as a daily driver for work (not commuting). I am dependant on it and haven't been disappointed. Other than dead batteries because of lacking orientation, it handled, towed and performed beyond expectations.

I have a lightly optioned S with air & 18" M&S tires. Problems with keys, nav systems & electric comfort options seem to have subsided. If you decide to buy used, you might like to search this board and take the list (TSBs) with you to make sure the truck was upgraded.

Honestly, I had anticipated more down time, since it was a 100% new vehicle (the Treg uses an Audi engine). Again, I've been pleasently surprised. My .02
