...Ok, the real story...

My Boxster was in the shop for it's spring tuning (and brakes) and my dealer asked me if I wanted a Cayenne S or another Boxster as a loaner. It wasn't quite Boxster season yet, so I opted for the Cayenne. I put 1,000 miles on it in three days, as I had to drive to WV to see some customers (why put miles on the TT?). Overall, it moved pretty good. Only downsides: no air (steel feels somewhere between normal and sport), no Sirius (man I coulda used it in WV!), and no soft leather. Other than that, it's still a sweet ride. Whoever said the TT is the only "true" Cayenne, they're wrong. It just makes you pay more attention to shifting properly, rather than relying on the Turbo to move you.

Funny, huh?

Sounds/looks like Lou and The Blue Army were good to you! Glad to hear it.

thanks all. seriously, I have made some sacrifices in the last few years that hope to not have to make anytime soon again. Sometimes it's a wonder that we have kept our home, as I built it 3 years ago and spent more time deployed than living in it.

Anyway, there's more for sale out here if you care to move! :-)
Believe me, you'd be amazed at the cost of living/quality of life here. Far cry from where I grew up (Boston, MA)!

In two days I'll be picking up my new 5 in Munich (and actually vacationing with my wife for the first time in over a year). For anyone interested, I'll post a link to my trip report (which will be on the E60 board).

I am going to Leipzig and taking a tour there (and possibly Stuttgart). Should be fun! thanks again for all your well wishes.....Eric
