just had a look at a cayenne that is up for auction but has some lights flashing as pictured, just wondering if anyone could tell me what it could mean ?

That's the Differential lock control toggle for off road, mud, or snow use. If someone locked the differentials with that toggle and then drove on dry pavement, they've probably damaged them and that's why it's flashing. Any error codes stored?

 

If it is up for auction, I bet some idiot simply pressed the switch to see what it does and did not drive the vehicle at all or tried to put it back to normal drive mode and did not backup the vehicle to get it out of low range. I doubt there is any damage.

 

Those lights mean, "Best of luck to you!"

 

Each light represents a single unit of dollars, in thousands, your local dealer is about to make off you. Lights are usually accompanied by corresponding friendly messages on the dash, to lube you up a little.
