I have a weak spot for these cars so glad it's on the other coast.

Anyone look for a project http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-c...csi-800-a.html

FS: 635 CSi: $800Short story: body, engine, transmission in great shape but car is stuck in San Francisco (I'm in San Diego) with dead battery and possibly bad generator and I don't want the hassle of getting it fixed. The state would pay me $1000 to take it to a dismantler. I hate to see a nice car like the 635 end its life its way. Would prefer that an enthusiast get this "mechanics special" instead.

Long story: I owned the car for about 15 years. My wife commutes to San Francisco 3 days a week and used the car when she was there. Then we went away for 4 weeks and upon return the car had a dead battery. AAA came and said also that the alternator was suspect. She cant deal with it, I am in San Diego, I don't want to put any more money into it, and we were already discussing getting rid of it.
Color: red
Body: shines up well, only one rust spot by rear tail light. Front spoiler damaged
Transmission: good
Engine: good, no smoke
Interior, shocks, power steering, front end: worn
Tires/rims: good
I would not hesitate to drive this car from San Francisco to San Diego
